Membership Services
By promoting the exchange of information among finance officers of all local governments, Ohio GFOA works to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving profession of government finance and fosters increased cooperation among governments and private financial institutions.
Ohio GFOA was the first organization formed in Ohio with the capacity to act as a conduit for the flow of information among all local governments.
The organization is governed by a board of trustees elected by the membership and composed of three representatives from each of its seven membership categories.
- Ohio GFOA offers access to a network of Ohio finance officers.
- Ohio GFOA Seminar Days are one-day seminars that help our members keep up-to-date on what’s happening in Ohio government finance. Throughout the year, members attend presentations on topics ranging from legislative updates to economic analysis and review. Speakers are chosen from government offices and state associations as well as from the private sector.
- Ohio GFOA’s Annual Conference, held each fall, is an important gathering of finance officers from across the state. Members meet to get an in-depth look at the issues facing the industry and to earn continuing education credits necessary to their profession.
- Ohio GFOA’s newsletter reports on the activities of the association, acts as a source of news for and about our members, and provides information about industry topics of interest.
- Ohio GFOA’s membership directory provides a statewide roster of Ohio’s finance officers.
- State-of-the-art web site: www.ohgfoa.com
- Substantial discounts for seminar/conference registrations.
- Ohio GFOA offers scholarships to its members.
