April 25 & 26, 2023
This day-and-a-half seminar is designed as an introduction to the public finance office. It incorporates a high-level look at the various issues that can be encountered in the finance office, including, but not limited to, Ethics, Public Records, Human Resources, Accounting Principles, Revenues, Expenditures, Budgets, Banking & Investments, Purchasing, Debt Issuance, Internal Control, and Audits. It is designed for newly elected and appointed officials and employees of the public finance office and would be a great way for any public official to understand the complexities involved in the public finance office.

Tuesday, April 25

12:30-12:55 p.m. - Registration

12:55-1:00 p.m. - Welcome/Introductions

1:00-3:15 p.m. - Seminar

3:15-3:30 p.m. - Break

3:30-4:15 p.m. - Seminar

4:15 p.m. - End of Day 1

Wednesday, April 26

8:45 a.m. - Continental Breakfast

9:00-10:30 a.m. - Seminar

10:30-10:45 a.m. - Break

10:45 a.m.-noon - Seminar

12:00-1:00 p.m. - Lunch

1:00-4:00 p.m. - Seminar

4:00 p.m. - End of Seminar

A room block is available, at the Marriott, at a discounted group rate of $165, plus applicable tax. Reservations can be made online. Reservations must be received on or before, Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Requests received after this date will be accepted based on room and rate availability. If applicable, bring your State of Ohio Blanket Letter of Exemption Certificate.
